Coffee, cake and cycling are natural partners and our cycling's going to a whole new level next Friday 21st August when a National Road Series Race scoots past our doorstep.
In less than a week, Wangaratta's streets host the Sam Miranda 2015 Tour of the King Valley's second stage, and it'll be looping around our block.
We think you should come on down to Derailleur and find the best vantage point, then settle in for an afternoon of racing. Booking one of our trackside tables for lunch puts you in the running to win a bottle of Sam's Prosecco, so reserve one now.
Be sure to throw on your Tour de France best because we're offering a prize for our best dressed customer. Who knows, even Gabrielle Gate may turn up!
From 2 pm cyclists will lap past Cafe Derailleur thirty times so the treadly's definitely your best mode of transport that day. Expect plenty of parking limitations and street closures.
And just in case you're wondering, no I've NOT entered the Wine Makers Challenge. You won't see me doing any laps of the circuit on one of the Peddle to Produce bikes. No siree!
Racing starts at 2 pm on Saturday with the men's race, followed by the Wine Makers Challenge at 3 pm and then get ready to cheer on our fastest female Derailleur customer, Flick Wardlaw, in the women's race at 3:30 pm.
